The HS Co Curricular program is integral to an ISK education. It provides a structure for experiences that reinforces ISK's curriculum and extends student learning. The following are just a few of the programs that comprise our extensive HS Co Curricular program.

Under Construction

This club aims to assist communities build and improve sustainable facilities for schools in slums and low-income areas of Nairobi. Every year we organise five ‘builds’ where members of the club together with members of the Kenyan community spend the entire day digging, doing carpentry and painting buildings and furniture.

HeArts: Healing Arts

This is a student led and initiated service learning program that involves students helping children express their creativity through different forms of Arts, ranging from drawing and performing to singing and dancing. We offer a range of activities and projects each week for local Kenyan children to enjoy by expressing their creative minds and understanding the value of arts in enhancing our well being.

Operation Smile

This is an international children's medical charity that performs over 220,000 surgeries on children born with cleft palate/lips. As a club, Operation Smile ISK raises money for these operations. Over the past year we have managed to offer over 25 operations. We are always looking to recruit committed and innovative minds!

Global Issues Network

The Global Issues Network (GIN) empowers our students to collaborate locally, regionally and globally in order to create project based sustainable solutions for global issues. GIN is dedicated to being aware of the major 20 global issues that our world faces in the 21st century and empowers students to take action as leaders, team members, community advocates and problem- solvers.


Interact is an international Rotary sponsored service organization for students between the ages 14 and 18 years. Interact stands for ‘International Action’ and gives students an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and personal integrity, demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others, understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work and advancing international understanding and goodwill.
