This page provides an overview and ISK's use of Google Apps and some helpful suggestions for incoming and leaving staff and students.
ISK is a Google Apps for Education School
With Google Apps for Education, everything is automatically saved in the cloud - 100% powered by the web. This means that emails, documents, calendar and sites can be accessed - and edited - on almost any mobile device or tablet. Anytime, anywhere.
All students and staff will be given an ISK gmail account. With this account comes the full suite of google education apps and unlimited storage space for mail, files and media.

I already use Gmail
You can keep your Gmail account even though ISK uses gmail you will have separate account given to you by ISK.
Transferring Docs and Files to my ISK Account
If you have Docs or Sites created in regular Gmail account you may if you wish transfer ownership to your ISK account. Read more. If you coming from a school that is a Googles Apps domain transferring files can be a bit trickier.
Sites you have created can be transferred to your ISK account, but docs and files can not.
In order to transfer files you will need to download them to your hard drive or USB device. You then can upload them to your ISK account. Make sure you download your files before your previous school disables your account.
Documents that have been shared with you, whether in your a regular gmail account or EDU account will also need to be downloaded.
Google drive can be easily accessed on any browser. However a much better way of using Drive is through the application available on all computers and most devices. Using the App easily syncs your files to all your devices. One of the other great features is that all drive files are synced to your devices local hard drive. This makes files accessible if you are not online and quicker to load and save when you have a slow connection. Directions for installation and using the Drive app.
