Middle School STEM Club

Middle School STEM Club

The Middle School STEM co-curricular activity provides a variety of opportunities for groups of students to increase their capabilities to design with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Students choose which activities they would like to explore. These include building and programming robots and exploring the Internet of Things. The activity now includes an afternoon of collaborative learning with students from one of our Service Partners, Childrens' Garden (CG). This collaborative venture is proving very effective as a model for creating a common bond between a group of students who are just beginning to design and explore with technology, and our ISK students who choose to make the commitment. Because students work in teams, they get to build real relationships with peers cross-culturally. The commitment is obvious as students realize that their STEM learning is richer from this program.
