In April 2023, ISK alumni Cora Lavender and Kavan Prabhu, both from the Class of 2014, celebrated their wedding in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by friends, family, and many ISK graduates.

Reflecting on my time at ISK, my most memorable moment was the tremendous international exposure and diverse global community I encountered while still embracing the rich Kenyan heritage. Interacting with students from different cultures and backgrounds broadened my horizons and instilled in me a deep appreciation for global interconnectedness.

I’m Michal Zeevi-Bender, a proud alumnus of the Class of 1989, now working as an Anthrostrategist in Israel. My time at ISK had a profound impact on shaping both my career and personal outlook. Today, I’m a consultant, lecturer, mentor, and board member and I credit the ISK’s international community of students and faculty for nurturing my commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The Sharon and Margaux Brown Memorial Garden, in honor of ISK Middle and High School Librarian Sharon Brown (ISK 2006-2010) and her daughter Margaux, who were killed tragically while on a guided forest walk near Mt. Kenya in 2010, has now been completely rebuilt on the ISK campus. Thanks to generous donations from alumni, staff, family, and friends, the garden was refurbished in late 2022 and is now in beautiful condition and open for all to enjoy. It is located adjacent to the middle school.
