At ISK, the health, safety, and wellbeing of every student, staff member, and visitor is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a secure, caring, and well-prepared environment where learning can flourish and every member of our community feels protected and supported. Our approach to health and safety is proactive and collaborative. From a fully staffed Health Office and routine health screenings to robust campus security systems and regular emergency preparedness drills, we work closely with families, staff, and local partners to uphold the highest standards of care and readiness. Grounded in our commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing, we ensure that clear procedures, ongoing training, and a strong culture of responsibility guide our daily practices. Together, we build a community where students are safe, informed, and empowered to thrive.

Health

ISK is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment that supports the overall wellbeing of every student.

Our on-campus Health Office is staffed by qualified health professionals who are available throughout the school year to manage health-related concerns and promote wellness in partnership with families.

We believe that health is a shared responsibility. At ISK, students are supported in developing as:

Additional Responsibilities of the ISK Health Team

In support of our commitment to student wellbeing, the Health Team is responsible for a range of proactive health services throughout the school year. These services not only promote physical health but also empower students to become Self-Managers and Thinkers in caring for their own well-being.

 

 

Health Office Hours:

The ISK Health Office is open to students and staff during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:30 a.m - 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Campus Safety & Security 

Safety is our top priority. Here’s how we work to keep our campus secure:

  • 24/7 Security Team:
    • A dedicated, full-time guard force monitors the campus around the clock.
    • They’re trained to respond quickly and effectively to any situation.
  • Quarterly Emergency Drills:
    • Safety drills are held every quarter.
    • All students and staff participate to ensure everyone knows how to respond in an emergency.
  • Direct Communication with Law Enforcement:
    • We work closely with local law enforcement, including:
      • The Diplomatic Police Unit.
      • Our sponsoring agencies.
      • Other diplomatic mission security services.
      • This helps us respond swiftly to any incident.
    • They’re trained to respond quickly and effectively to any situation.
  • Staying Safe Together:
    • Be aware of your surroundings.
    • Follow campus safety guidelines.
    • Report anything unusual to the Campus Security Office.
