Lab to Community: ISK student designs improving livelihoods in Laikipia
During the recent ISK High School Intercultural trips, students who signed up for the Loisaba trip saw firsthand the impact some of the past ISK design projects have had on the community and tested out new design innovations.
The 50,000+ recycled plastic “rhino flashers” made by Plastiki Rafiki last year are preventing wildlife injuries and a new design of the camel seedball dispensers was once again tested on-site.
In addition, self-clamping recycled plastic rain gutters made by Plastiki Rafiki were installed on the roofs of a local school and are now harvesting precious rainwater to be used by the school community. As an international school that believes in going beyond education, we are proud of the innovative and exceptional work that Plastiki Rafiki engages in.
