ISK World Scholars Shine in Kuala Lumpur

In August 2025, ISK scholars proudly represented Africa at the World Scholar’s Cup Global Rounds in Kuala Lumpur! Fifteen students, organized into five teams of three, competed over five days in debates, collaborative writing, the Scholars Challenge, and the Scholar’s Bowl- showcasing their talents alongside peers from 26 countries. 🌟
It all began when 8th grader Semayan, in a casual chat with her humanities teacher Ms. Khalil, introduced the idea of participating in the World Scholar’s Cup. Encouraged to start a club, she teamed up with Naomi and Bilane, and with the support of teachers and parents, the ISK WSC Club was born. After excelling at the Nakuru regional round last May, our scholars advanced to the globals- making a powerful impression on the international stage.
Next stop: the Tournament of Champions at Yale University this November. 🦁💛
